Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

Welcome to MMS Engineering, a trading name of Millar Mechanical Solutions Ltd. By requesting our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

MMS Engineering provides mobile repairs, servicing, diagnostics, welding, fabrication, vehicle recovery and light plant transport for cars, vans, agricultural machinery and plant equipment.

2. Estimates & Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the information available at the time and may change if additional faults or repairs are identified during the work.

3. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with applicable UK legislation.

4. Parts

Where possible, quality replacement parts will be used. Parts supplied by the customer are fitted at the customer’s own risk, and MMS Engineering cannot provide a warranty on customer-supplied parts.

5. Warranty

Our workmanship is covered for 90 days from the date of completion unless otherwise agreed. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, lack of maintenance, or failure of unrelated components.

Manufacturer warranties apply to new parts where applicable.

6. Mobile Repairs

Customers must ensure that the vehicle or machinery is in a safe and accessible location. If work cannot be safely completed, we reserve the right to refuse or postpone the repair.

7. Recovery & Transport

Reasonable care will be taken during recovery and transport. Customers must inform us of any existing damage or mechanical issues before transport.

8. Welding & Fabrication

Welding repairs are carried out following an assessment of the component. Where corrosion, structural damage or previous repairs affect the repair, replacement may be recommended instead.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the fault.

  • Ensure safe access to the vehicle or machinery.

  • Remove valuables before recovery or transport.

  • Obtain permission if work is carried out on third-party premises.

10. Limitation of Liability

MMS Engineering will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings, business interruption or loss of profit, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

11. Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled after travel has begun or after an engineer has arrived on site, a call-out charge may apply.

12. Health & Safety

Unsafe working conditions, abusive behaviour or hazardous environments may result in work being suspended or cancelled until it is safe to continue.

13. Privacy

Any personal information collected will only be used to provide our services, process payments and comply with legal obligations. We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, please contact MMS Engineering before booking our services.
